Listening to the Jackson 5 performance from Motown 25. Thinking about all the stuff under my bed and the couple of LP’s on my wall, which I should still pack. Feeling sad that Michael was indeed killed. By accident or on purpose- either way it’s horrible! It just struck me last night that the poor guy didn’t even want to die. He was looking forward to his last shows, the perfect last set and the perfect dance routines. Nope, he didn’t get any of it. (Lookin’ forward to the release of the movie documentary of This is it…. <3)
Anyway, I watched some videos on youtube last night and realised that Michael Jackson had an amazing talent in song writing. He could beat box too! Now how cool is that. He describes having come up with Billie Jean in a moment, with the bass line, the synthesisers on top and the voice “She was more like a beauty queen..” all coming into his mind at once. Now when I listen to Billie Jean, I hear it so differently: in little pieces which are so simple yet beautiful, making one thrilling entity.
I should be writing about moving, but I don’t have much to say except that I am really looking forward to it! I get my own home!!
Now I need to concentrate some more on Jackson.

I have now packed pretty much everything. It only took one day to pack my life into some 20 boxes. It will probably take 20 days to empty them. Cute story concerning my boxes though:
I was biking home from work carrying a load of boxes on the back of my bike when they all fell to the ground. There was a boy walking behind me and he asked if I needed help. I told him I didn’t because I only had 50m to go. Then I get back on my bike and after only a couple of meters they all fall down again! Now the boy insisted on carrying them for me. Well I didn’t mind. We talked for a bit and he wished me a good move.
Today I went back to Hesburger to get some more boxes, by foot this time. On my way home guess who bikes past me? The boy from last night. He laughed at me for not being on the bike this time and said he was sure it couldn’t be anyone else but me. I walked home with him and he asked if I needed some big boxes and I told him yes please. So a couple of hours later he brings me these two massive cardboard boxes. PERFECT! I fit ALL my clothes into the two boxes! YAY. Thanks Laatikko Late.
I got some boxes from work today and thought I should pack one, just to get started. I felt so weird. Taking my stuff down from my shelf and going through them- thinking about what I want to take with me and what I can chuck. My thoughts flew back four years to when I was packing to leave Holland. I’m only moving down the street now! It’s not so bad, even for mom. Tomorrow I have a day off and I will pack as many boxes as I can. I have work on five days out of seven, before the apartment is mine, so that doesn’t leave me a lot of time to pack and think. Maybe it’s better that way. Because in the end this is something I really want, but you can’t avoid getting all emotional anyway. Now off to bed, and tomorrow to get packing!
In eight days I move out. 26m2 of freedom coming right up. You can actually see my new apartment building from here- it’s only aobut 600m away! All I need now is boxes. A lot of boxes.
I found this magazine in an S-market, for 11,90e. Expensive, but worth every cent. There are lots of pictures I had never seen before and just wanted to share a few.

This was already the 2nd time (that I’m aware of) that Mr. Niinistö has been to our Hesburger. I had the honor of making his chicken burgers and asking if he wanted ketchup or not :) Lauri did the rest of talking and we are so proud of our little box-Hesburger! I discovered a channel that plays EVEN MORE Michael Jackson! It’s Metro FM. The other day I heard Thriller, Leave me alone, Black or White and Smooth Criminal! Now that’s neat. I am not listening to Nova anymore. Besides, they play the same songs over and over again. Metro is repetitive to some extent, but the amount of Jackson played compensates for that. :)
Nettiradio 957 is also great, if you have a computer and an internet connection. It’s a Tampere-based radio channel that plays a lot of classic rock songs and some of the newest hits too. Radio 957 could cut back on the AC/DC though……..
I ate a chicken tortilla with some hot salsa. Yummey.
Now I am facebooking with my phone and wondering why I ever agree to these 24hour weekends..
All is not lost, for it is Sunday which means double pay! <3
1. Radio Nova plays the most Michael Jackson. Today at work I heard at least Beat it and Heal the world ;)
2. I ate carrot pancakes with cheddar cheese and bacon on top. Was super quick and easy to make and even more delicious.
3. Now I am talking on the phone and wondering what to eat tomorrow :S

- Own Sauna
- Balcony (don’t want it as much as the sauna)
- At least 30m2, not bigger than 50m2 though
- In Espoo
- Under 650e/month (including water and elec.)
- Windows that give in lots of light
- About 30 mins to work by bus
IT’S SO HARD TO FIND! ARGH.
